STAINLESS STEEL SHEET INTRODUCTION
Stainless steel sheet is a type of steel made with iron as the base material, alloyed with elements such as chromium (Cr), nickel (Ni), and molybdenum (Mo). With excellent corrosion resistance, heat resistance, and mechanical strength, stainless steel sheet are widely used in architectural decoration, kitchen equipment, food processing machinery, medical devices, and industrial components. Beyond durability, stainless steel sheet also feature a clean, bright appearance and can be finished with different surface treatments to achieve diverse aesthetics and functions.
The most common stainless steel sheet grades include 304, 316L, and 430:
- 304: The most widely used grade, offering good corrosion resistance and formability. Commonly applied in kitchen equipment, household items, and public facilities.
- 316L: Contains molybdenum for enhanced resistance to acids and chloride corrosion, making it ideal for marine environments, chemical equipment, and medical industries.
- 430: A ferritic stainless steel with relatively lower cost and good heat resistance, often used in appliance panels or building materials.
In terms of processing, stainless steel sheet are available in different thicknesses and dimensions. Various surface finishes are available, including 2B, BA, No.4, HL (Hairline), and Mirror, to meet industrial and decorative applications.
